Dr. Jesse Halbleib

A Bay Area native, Dr. Halbleib grew up in Santa Clara. He has lived in Santa Cruz since 1986 and has practiced general dentistry at his Watsonville office since 1994. Dr. Halbleib’s specialties include Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implants, and Sleep Apnea Treatments. When consulting with a patient, he is experienced at envisioning the total smile outcome rather than simply quick-fixing a problem.

He and his wife, Shannon (BSN, RN), have been married for over 20 years. They have three children, Jesseathan, Braidan, and Shane, as well as two horses, two dogs, three cats, and two guinea pigs.

After graduating from Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, Dr. Halbleib completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of the Pacific (UOP) in  1982. He then earned his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Emory School of Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986.

Angel Arreola, Dental Assistant

Angel has been Dr. Halbleibs Assistant since 2016. Angel strives to provide a positive dental experience to all his patients. He has a wide variety of experience in the dental field including lab work, Pediatrics, Oral Surgery, Cosmetics, Endodontics and Prosthodontics. When Angel is not at the office he enjoys exercising, spending time with friends, family, his son and his dog Dexter.

Maria Martinez, Office Manager

Maria Martinez is the Financial Coordinator at Seabreeze Dental Group. She walks every patient through any and all financing options for their treatment, from start to finish. Maria started her dental career in 1996 as a dental assistant for Dr. Halbleib. Driven to learn more, Maria has worked many positions in the dental office, Making her a very knowledgeable and valued team member. She has worked in Endodontics, Periodontics as well as general dentistry. When not working Maria enjoys spending time with her Family, going out to eat and spending family time with her husband and Triplets.

Yes! OceanBreeze Family Dental accepts a variety of insurance plans, including being in-network with Delta Dental among others. We also offer payment flexibility, including financing through providers such as Sunbit and CareCredit to help spread out costs for dental care.

Our practice offers a wide range of dentistry services, including everything from routine check-ups and children’s dental care to cosmetic services (like veneers and teeth whitening), same-day crowns, implants, emergency dentistry, and more. We treat patients of all ages and strive to create a comfortable, family-friendly environment.

Our address is 1053 S Green Valley Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076, and our typical hours are Monday to Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Thursday & Friday we are open from 7:30 AM until 3:00 PM. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
